Removing Traces of This Site
You probably do not want other people to know that you have visited this site, therefore we have provided some instructions on removing traces of this site from your PC. If you are in school or college you may find that you are unable to do the following as computers are often locked so certain things can't be done.
Cookies
This site does not use any cookies therefore you can safely leave existing cookies in place with no fear of this site being found.
Browser history & cache
The history contains a list of web addresses that have been accessed on the computer along with the date they were viewed. The cache stores a local copy of site files in order to load the page quicker on future visits, however these leave traces of sites you have visited, to remove these traces perform the following steps.
- Click on the Tools menu (near the top of the browser window) and select the Internet Options item.
- You will see a heading called Temporary Internet files with a button called Delete Files, click this button.
- Another window will open up, just click on the Ok button. Now your browser cache has been removed.
- You will then see another button under the History heading called Clear History, click on this button.
- Another window will open asking you to confirm clearing the history, just click the Yes button.
- You have now removed all traces of this site from your browser, simply close down Internet Explorer.
By doing this you will not harm your computer in any way. However, should someone else click on History, he or she may realize that you or someone has deleted the history records. If this happens, and you are the only other person using that computer, a good reason to give for your actions (if necessary) would be that you heard or read that by deleting these temporary history files your computer would be faster and waste less disk space, which is true. |
