Funding

Lifecentre relies heavily on charitable donations to fund our work. Funding comes from a variety of sources:–

grant giving trusts including Lloyds TSB, Body Shop Foundation and Children in Need

donations from individuals, organisations and companies

regular monthly committed giving

adult client contributions to counselling

payments from referring agencies, such as connexions, social services, the Saturn Centre (Sussex's Sexual Assault Referral Centre) and drug and alcohol action teams.

In addition to this we benefit from various fundraising events held by supporters.

"Lifecentre helped us communicate an important message...in an engaging and challenging manner. Thank you!"

Gavin Calvert, Head of PSHE Downlands

Donating to Lifecentre

The Lifecentre Education Programme makes a real difference to young people’s expectations and attitudes towards relationships.

One 15 yr old boy commented in class that “until now, no one has given me any idea how to be when I go out with someone, not my parents, not school, not anyone. This has really helped me”.  Above and beyond this, Lifecentre workshops link children who have been suffering in silence with people who can change their world.

We have at least one child a week make contact for the first time as a result of hearing about our services in a lesson.

  What my money could achieve

The work that we do is invaluable and we need you to help us do more.

On average a workshop costs £40 – that covers travel expenses, resources and the time spent by the schools worker preparing and delivering the lesson.

£15 - A donation of £15 would cover the travel expenses of the Educator for one day

£40 - A donation of £40 would cover the cost of a workshop and reach up to 30 young people

£240 - A donation of £240 would enable the Educator to reach an entire year group of up to 200 children
