This is one of those things that we think is nothing to do with us – that we hope is nothing to do with us. But unfortunately it is often closer to us than we think: |
NSPCC research shows that:
• 4% of children are sexually abused by a relative
• 11% of children are sexually abused by someone else that they know
• 5% of children are sexually abused by someone who was a stranger to them
That means 1 in 5 children are sexually abused. At Lifecentre we would like to do something to stop that and to help those people who have been hurt already. |
