Who can I tell?

If someone is abusing you or you have been abused in the past then telling someone about it is one of the most important things that you can do. It takes courage and might be difficult but it will mean you are not alone anymore.

Perhaps you have an adult who you trust that you could talk to - that might be one of your parents, a teacher, or a friend's parent or maybe your youth worker. If you don't feel you can talk to any of these people, contact Lifecentre about anything that is worrying you.

You will not shock us or upset us.

There is nothing too big or too small to tell us.

You can contact us in a number of ways:

Telephone: 0808 802 0808

This number is free from landlines and most major mobile networks and will not show up on your landline phone bill

The Helpline is open Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursday between 7:30 and 10pm

Text: 07717 989 022

Texts will cost whatever your normal texts cost - if you have free texts, it will be free

The text line is open all week apart from Sundays and somebody should get back to you within a few hours

Email: fill in our online form

You can email whenever you like and someone should get back to you within 24 hours

How much do I have to tell you?

You can tell us as much or as little as you like. You are in control of the conversation and you only have to say what you want to say.

You don't even have to tell us who you are or you can make up a name if that makes you feel safer.
